Jet2: 3 New Destinations Added from London Luton for 2027

British airline Jet2 is further strengthening its strategic presence at London Luton Airport, a move that brings Greece even closer to British travelers. Ahead of the 2027 summer season, the company has announced the addition of a fourth aircraft to its London base, allowing for the expansion of its flight schedule to include three new popular Greek destinations.

With this addition, Jet2’s network from Luton to Greece now reaches 10 destinations, reinforcing the company’s role as a key “bridge” between the United Kingdom and the Greek islands.

New Direct Connections for Summer 2027

The company is adding Thessaloniki (for access to Halkidiki), Chania, and Kefalonia to its portfolio, offering travelers more options for their holidays:

  • Thessaloniki: Starting May 20, 2027, every Thursday. Flights depart Luton at 14:25, arriving in Thessaloniki at 19:40. The return flight is scheduled for 20:40, arriving in London at 22:00.

  • Chania: Starting May 23, 2027, every Sunday. The aircraft departs Luton at 16:10 and arrives in Chania at 22:05. The return flight departs from Crete at 23:00, arriving at Luton at 01:10 the following day.

  • Kefalonia: Starting May 26, 2027, every Wednesday. The flight departs Luton at 14:00, arriving on the island at 19:30. The return flight departs at 20:25, landing in London at 21:55.

Strengthening the Greek Presence

These new destinations join an already rich program that includes Heraklion, Zakynthos, Corfu, Kos, Preveza, Rhodes, and Skiathos. To cover these routes, Jet2 will primarily use modern 232-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft, as well as Boeing 737-800s, ensuring comfort and reliability.

This strategic move at Luton allows Jet2 to now serve three London airports—Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton—while maintaining a total of 10 bases across the United Kingdom. For Greek tourism professionals, this development is very positive news, as it signals a dynamic season for inbound tourism from the British market.
