Pera Milos: A Seafront Escape in Milos Where the Aegean Is at Your Doorstep

Some stays in Milos put travellers close to the sea. Pera Milos puts them right beside it. Set directly on the waterfront, this charming seafront home makes waking up to views of the Aegean and heading straight for the water a natural part of everyday island life.

Located in the picturesque fishing village of Pollonia, Pera Milos combines the character of a traditional Cycladic home with clean, contemporary interiors. Renovated in 2024, the 90-square-metre residence accommodates up to six guests in two bedrooms, offering an appealing choice for couples, families or groups of friends looking for privacy and the freedom of having their own place on the island.

When the Sea Sets the Rhythm

The highlight of Pera Milos is undoubtedly its relationship with the water. Just a few steps from Pelekouda Beach, the house opens onto a spacious patio overlooking the bay, complete with an outdoor dining area, umbrellas and lounge chairs.

It is the kind of setting that encourages guests to forget about the clock. Mornings can begin with coffee overlooking the Aegean and a swim before breakfast, while afternoons can easily stretch into relaxed evenings outdoors with a bottle of local wine and the sea as the backdrop.

Inside, the emphasis remains on effortless island living, with bright, open spaces and a clean aesthetic that reflects the simplicity of Cycladic design. Natural tones and wooden details create a warm, relaxed atmosphere, while the characteristic blue doors and windows bring the colours of Milos indoors.

The living and dining area offers plenty of space for guests to come together, whether for a slow breakfast before heading out to explore or a relaxed dinner after a day at the beach. With the doors open towards the water, the sea remains part of the setting even indoors, reinforcing the home’s close connection to its waterfront location.

A fully equipped kitchen gives guests the flexibility to prepare anything from morning coffee to a full meal, while air conditioning, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi and entertainment facilities provide the practical comforts needed for an easy stay. Thoughtful additions, including beach towels and a coffee and tea station, complete a space designed for guests to settle in and enjoy Milos at their own pace.

Pollonia Outside the Door, Milos Waiting Beyond

Pera Milos also places guests in an ideal position to experience more of the island. A short stroll leads to Pollonia’s harbour, where waterfront tavernas, cafés and small shops create an easygoing village atmosphere. Travellers can even hop on the local ferry to Kimolos for a day trip to Milos’ neighbouring island.

Beyond Pollonia, some of Milos’ most famous landscapes are within easy reach. Sarakiniko is around 5 km away, while Adamas port is approximately 10 km from the property. Plaka, the island’s traditional capital, is another essential stop, while a boat trip opens the way to the spectacular coastline around Kleftiko and Sikia.

But perhaps the best part of staying at Pera Milos is that returning “home” never feels like leaving the beauty of Milos behind. After a day of exploring, the Aegean is still there — just outside.

Pera Milos is part of the MilosBookNow portfolio, a Milos-based company specialising in booking management and hospitality services for hotels, villas and holiday homes across the island.
