Travel between Egypt and Greece has become even more convenient as AIRCAIRO officially launches new direct scheduled services to Athens, further expanding its growing European network.
The airline introduced its Cairo–Athens route on 24 July, followed by Alexandria–Athens services on 26 July, responding to increasing demand for travel between the two countries. The new connections are expected to support tourism, business travel, and closer economic cooperation while offering travelers more flexibility when planning their Mediterranean getaways.
The inaugural AIRCAIRO flight to Athens International Airport was welcomed with an official ceremony attended by representatives from the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, Athens International Airport, and members of the Greek aviation and tourism sectors. The event highlighted the strong and continuously growing partnership between Greece and Egypt.
For visitors, the new routes make it easier than ever to explore two destinations rich in history and culture. From the ancient landmarks of Cairo and the coastal charm of Alexandria to the vibrant streets of Athens and its easy access to the Greek islands, travelers now have even more opportunities to discover the best of the Eastern Mediterranean.
